  34. If you want "free" use minicom. Kermit Project sells a book that has
  35. all the commands in it. It is how they continue to fund development.
  36. If you really want free information about kermit try asking in the
  37. comp.protocols.kermit.misc news group. The kermit developers hang out
  38. in there and may give you the answer you seek. That group added to
  39. this message to help you along.

  44. fair. :-) Your post is either about "what modem do I use?" or about
  45. the notorious "winmodems" aka "losemodems".

  55. We've had great success with these at our clients that use *n?x and
  56. OS/2 systems. You can find these at several online stores as well as
  57. your local computer resellers. These are a mid-range price at a
  58. little over $100. FYI, "low end" modems are usually under $100 and
  59. "high end" modems are usually over $200.

  61. Another modem brand with which we've had success and that is less
  62. expensive than the MultiTech brand (for you cheapskate types :-) is
